I started running businesses in my early 20s. As GM of an art and craft company, I took it from a national operation to an international importer/exporter — hundreds of days in China building a supply network, a US market push, distributors and trade shows. We landed on BRW's fastest private companies list. All of it driven by squeezing more output out of every hour.
Then 15 years in marketing. Running agencies, building Clare Media, doing the work. All along, I was the person who found the shortcut — the system, the process, the tool — that let me do more, better, faster.
When AI came along, I didn't dabble. I went all in.
This financial year, it's added 40% to my revenue.
Not from one magic tool. From systematically finding where AI actually fits — across client delivery, research, communication, content, and development — and implementing it properly.
That's when I realised most business owners are missing this. Not because they don't care. Because nobody's shown them where it actually fits in their business.
